The Alpina Apax MIPS helmet provides reliable head protection when riding mountain and MTB bikes. It is made using the in-mould process and has a robust ceramic shell. The polycarbonate plate is stretched under high heat into the shape of the later helmet, pressed by high pressure onto the Hi-EPS body and thermally bonded to them. The ceramic shell is shatter and scratch resistant, UV stable and anti-static. The Helmet provides a high degree of protection and comfort, which is enhanced by the Run Ergo Flex system, Hi-EPS and MIPS technology. The bottom edge of the helmet is protected by an additional Edge Protect polycarbonate shell that fits seamlessly over the top shell. When riding on uneven roads, the back and temple areas are pulled down more, providing even more head coverage to increase safety. Large ventilation holes ensure ideal ventilation, while integrated insect screens protect you from insects. Additional protection in the field of view is provided by a height-adjustable shield.
