The SMLIGHT SLZB-07 USB adapter lets you create and expand a wireless Zigbee 3.0 network for your smart home devices. It uses an EFR32MG21 chip and, depending on the installed firmware, supports Zigbee Coordinator, Router, and Thread Border Router modes. The external rotating antenna with a +3dB gain ensures a range of up to 200 metres in open spaces. The adapter is compatible with Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, ZHA, OpenHAB, ioBroker, and HomeSeer. You can connect it to a computer, server, NAS, or Raspberry Pi via USB-A. It supports firmware updates using the SMLIGHT Web-Flasher tool and is designed for continuous operation.

Three operating modes
In Zigbee Coordinator mode, the SMLIGHT SLZB-07 can create the main Zigbee 3.0 network for connecting compatible devices. Zigbee Router mode allows you to extend the coverage of your existing network and support its mesh topology. With the Thread Border Router firmware, the adapter can also be used in the Thread / OpenThread ecosystem. Supported devices include smart sensors, switches, sockets, lighting, and thermostats. You can switch between the individual modes by updating the firmware using the SMLIGHT Web-Flasher online tool.
