The QNAP TS-h3077AFU-R7-64G NAS, in a 2U rack-mounted design, is used for data storage and management in corporate environments. AMD Ryzen processor and DDR5 memory
The system is powered by a 5.1GHz AMD Ryzen 5 7000 processor to handle demanding business applications. The x86 architecture efficiently processes instructions for the smooth running of the QTS operating system and virtualisation tools. The motherboard contains a total of four DDR5 memory slots, two of which are fitted with modules with a total capacity of 64GB. Users can expand the RAM up to 192GB if needed.
Data transfers
The storage has a read speed of 17327MB/s and a write speed of 9559MB/s for large data transfers. The device includes four integrated 10GbE LAN ports for fast connection to the corporate network infrastructure. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, with transfer speeds of up to 10Gb/s, are available for connecting external devices. This combination of interfaces helps to prevent network communication bottlenecks.
SSD bays
Up to 30 2.5" SATA hard drives can be installed in the 2U rack enclosure. The configuration exclusively supports 2.5" SATA SSDs, which significantly reduce the access time to stored data. Users can take advantage of SSD cache acceleration to speed up frequent disk operations. Drives can be hot-swapped and configured in RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10, RAID 50 or RAID 60 arrays.
Storage expandability
The motherboard includes three free PCIe Gen 4 slots for installing expansion cards. These slots are used to add more network adapters, controllers or graphics cards. This allows users to increase the overall throughput of the entire system according to the company's current growth requirements. The system also supports external storage expansion using compatible expansion units, increasing the total capacity up to 483TB.
Virtualisation and cloud services
The system fully supports virtualisation platforms and file sharing across different operating systems on the corporate network. Integrated software tools let you run virtual machines and containers directly on this network-attached storage. Administrators can synchronise data directly to the cloud, to a remote NAS, or use Apple Time Machine for backups. Snapshot support and continuous synchronisation help protect data from ransomware.
Surveillance system
The device acts as a surveillance centre with support for connecting IP cameras. Users can connect up to 128 cameras to the system simultaneously for continuous surveillance of company premises. The internal power supply has a total output of 1400W to provide stable power to all installed drives and components. The entire system is cooled by four 60mm system fans, which maintain an operating temperature between 0 and 40°C.
