AMD Ryzen processor
The device is powered by an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 7000 processor with a frequency of up to 5.3GHz and support for 16 threads. This processor, with its 64-bit x86 architecture, handles business applications and virtualisation tasks. Hardware encryption with AES-NI instruction support protects stored data without reducing transfer speeds. The integrated AMD Radeon Graphics card assists with graphics tasks, and the processor also manages hardware-accelerated video transcoding.
DDR5 RAM
The base configuration with 32GB of DDR5 UDIMM system memory occupies one of the four available slots. Users can expand the total RAM capacity to 196608MB. Support for memory modules with ECC error correction contributes to the high stability of the entire system during continuous business operation. For dual-channel operation, the system requires the installation of identical memory modules.
Storage capacity and bays
You can fit 3.5" hard drives or 2.5" SSDs with SATA 6Gb/s and 3Gb/s interfaces into the twelve bays. The device also includes two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 5 × 2 slots for NVMe drives, which are backwardly compatible with PCIe Gen 3. The design supports hot-swapping of SATA drives without needing to shut down the entire system. These slots accelerate the SSD cache and speed up disk operations, although hot-swapping does not apply to M.2 SSDs.
Fast network connection
Network connectivity consists of two 2.5GbE LAN ports and two integrated 10GBASE-T ports for high-speed transfers. The system operates with a read speed of up to 7568MB/s and a write speed of up to 7443MB/s when fully populated with drives. High transfer speeds help with the efficient backup of large volumes of company files and smooth network performance. The network interface supports Wake on LAN and Jumbo Frame functions, and 25GbE ports can also be added using an expansion adapter.
QuTS hero operating system
The QuTS hero operating system uses the ZFS file system, which supports advanced data management and self-healing error correction. This system offers inline compression and deduplication to save disk storage space. Block-level snapshot technology simplifies data recovery after a potential failure and provides effective protection against ransomware through cloud backup. At full memory capacity, the system can handle up to 5000 concurrent connections via the CIFS protocol.
PCIe expansion options
Three PCIe Gen 4 expansion slots are available for installing network cards or graphics processors with GPU pass-through support. The device includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports with a transfer speed of 10Gb/s and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. Two internal 550W power supplies provide redundant power for the entire system, preventing downtime if one of the supplies fails.
