Optical properties
The filters use imported high-definition AGC optical glass to maintain high image sharpness. The manufacturer has applied 30 layers of protective nano-coatings to both sides, which reliably repel water and grease. These layers effectively prevent dirt from sticking and protect the optical glass from mechanical scratches and dust. The total light transmittance is 99.9%, fully preserving colour neutrality without creating unwanted colour tones.
Light control
The grey ND filters reduce the amount of light hitting the camera sensor. The set includes ND8, ND16, ND32, and ND64 variants for different intensities of sunlight. These filters extend the camera's exposure time by 3 to 6 EV. This lets the user capture the natural motion blur of water or clouds, even in bright midday sun.
Sensor protection with the UV filter
The ultraviolet filter blocks radiation with wavelengths from 300nm to 380nm. This element eliminates the bluish tint and unwanted haze in long-distance shots. It also serves as permanent mechanical protection for the front optical element of the drone's camera. The glass has a reflectivity of less than 0.1%, which reduces internal reflections and ghosting.
Construction
The frames of the individual filters are made of aircraft-grade aluminium alloy, which offers high strength while remaining lightweight. The construction of a single filter weighs just 1.2g and does not strain the drone's sensitive stabiliser motors. This contributes to seamless balancing and precise gimbal calibration as soon as the device is switched on. Installation and removal are done by quickly snapping it onto the lens, with no risk of damaging the optics or scratching the drone's body.
