The MusicMate MM-P80-BW LegacyLine digital piano is designed for interpreting piano compositions and learning to play keyboard instruments. The design integrates a full-sized keyboard with eighty-eight keys and a Hammer Action mechanism. The French DREAM DSP sound processor creates an acoustic tone with 192-voice polyphony. Hammer action mechanics
The eighty-eight-key keyboard simulates the feel of an acoustic piano. The Hammer Action mechanism provides natural resistance to your fingers as you press the keys. The standard-sized balanced keys have a matte finish that prevents your fingers from slipping. The keyboard responds to the force of your touch, transferring subtle nuances into the resulting sound. The instrument simulates the behaviour of a traditional grand piano.
French DREAM DSP sound processor
The sound generator uses French DREAM DSP technology to reproduce tones. Its 192-voice polyphony prevents unwanted note cut-off during fast playing or when the pedal is pressed. Integrated speakers with a total output of 40W spread sound throughout the surrounding space. The sound processor generates a clean tone with adjustable Reverb and Chorus effects. The Layer function lets you layer two different sounds on top of each other.
Wireless connection
The integrated Bluetooth module provides wireless data transfer to mobile devices. Users can connect the instrument to learning apps on tablets or smartphones. The wireless connection makes it easier to practise with backing tracks played directly from an external player. The system works without the need for any connecting cables.
Connectivity and USB MIDI interface
The USB to Host connector is used to connect the instrument to a computer. The USB MIDI and DIN MIDI interfaces facilitate communication with software instruments and DAW recording programs. Audio In and Audio Out connectors are used for connecting external sound sources or external sound systems. A headphone output with a 3.5mm Jack connector silences the built-in speakers for private practice.
Construction and pedal system
The instrument's cabinet is made of PVC material with a wood-imitation texture. The total weight of the structure is 52kg, which contributes to its stability during play. The three-function pedal system includes Sustain, Soft, and Sostenuto functions to control the length and character of the tone. The cabinet dimensions are 86×136×41cm. The mains power supply uses the included 15V DC adapter.
Accessories for learning to play
The package includes aids for both beginner and advanced players. Colourful key stickers with musical notation make it easier to navigate the keyboard. The included wired headphones are perfect for quiet monitoring when playing late at night. A protective cover protects the keys from dust and dirt. The package also includes a music clip, a cleaning cloth, a screwdriver for assembly, and an OTG USB-A to USB-C cable.
