Passive adapter designed for Power Over Ethernet (POE). This adapter serves to supply the voltage from the round power connector to the unused pairs of the UTP cable, so one cable can transfer both data and power.
Alternatively, the supply voltage from the UTP cable can be removed by the second counterpart or a compatible device (WRAP, RouterBoard) can be used. Compared to an active adapter, the passive differs in that it does not contain any other components. It can be used with WRAP, RouterBand or other devices that support passive POEs.
