Gyokuro is one of the highest varieties of Japanese green tea and differs from the others mainly because about 3 weeks before harvesting the tea plants are shaded with reed or straw mats, which reduces the amount of tannins in the tea and increases the chlorophyll and caffeine content.

What can I expect from Lemon/Ginger organic Premium with Gyokuro?
Gyokuro is incredibly complex in flavour, with slightly sweet notes and only a minimal bitterness that is characteristic of other green teas. Adding to the flavour profile of the gyokuro is the refreshing taste of lemon and the slightly tangy taste of ginger. This unique combination makes the tea great to drink whether it is warm in winter or cold in summer with a few ice cubes.

Preparation
Since the base of this blend is gyokuro green tea, it is good to focus on proper preparation. In any case, we do not recommend using boiling water - it is much better to use 250 ml of water at a temperature between 70 and 80 °C for one teaspoon of this mixture. The recommended steeping time is usually around 2 minutes to avoid bittering the tea. However, it also depends on your taste preferences and if you prefer stronger infusions, you can steep the tea for longer.
