It effectively removes greasy stains and dried-on food residue, all without unnecessary chemical additives like enzymes, phosphates, surfactants, and aggressive chlorine-based stain removers. SONETT dishwasher powder has only a few limitations. It is unsuitable for silver, lead crystal, and hand-painted porcelain. For the best results, you should use it with eco-friendly dishwasher salt and rinse aid.

Effects
The silicates contained in the dishwasher powder are obtained by melting sand. Thanks to their alkalinity, they saponify any grease on the dishes, allowing it to dissolve easily in water. All food residue is more easily softened and washed away. Then, soda, produced from salt and lime, gets to work. It can break down grease into fine droplets and, together with the silicates, dissolves it completely. Finally, SONETT dishwasher powder helps soften the water, thereby protecting your dishwasher. The added citrate (a by-product of fermentation in molasses production) binds calcium from the washing water and prevents it from building up in the appliance.
How the powder works
During the washing cycle, SONETT dishwasher powder turns into soap. Immediately after use and once the water is drained from the dishwasher, it reacts with the wastewater. This water contains calcium, which ensures the primary degradation of the product. The resulting calcium soap fully breaks down into carbon dioxide and water. The second part of the degradation process is therefore also complete. All that remains in the water is the sugar surfactant and coconut oil derivatives. These originate from purely plant-based sources and thus retain their natural structure. Microorganisms easily take care of these, and SONETT washing powder is thus completely biodegraded. In addition, the entire packaging is fully recyclable.
Note
If your dishwasher has a manual water softener setting, it should be set to 8 °dH above the local water hardness. For example, with a water hardness of 16 °dH, set the dishwasher to 24 °dH.
