Durable drive construction
The drive's construction allows for use in adverse outdoor and production environments. Its aluminium and rubber casing resists drops, rain, dust ingress, and pressure equivalent to a weight of up to 1 tonne. The IP67 rating confirms its high resistance to water and dust. The flat shape of the drive's body makes it easy to store in a camera bag, backpack, or transport case, where it takes up very little space.
Flexible RAID configuration
Inside the drive are two hard drives that can be configured in two modes. Hardware RAID 0 combines the capacity of both drives and increases transfer speed. The second mode, RAID 1, creates a mirrored copy of the data on the second drive and acts as a safeguard against the failure of one of the storage units. It connects to Mac and PC computers or iPad and iPhone devices with a USB-C port via the Thunderbolt and USB 3.2 Gen 2 interfaces.
External drive data security
The drive protects sensitive data from unauthorised access. It uses integrated hardware encryption and password protection that works independently of the connected device and operating system. The product includes access to the Rescue Data Recovery Services, which provides one attempt at professional data recovery in the event of an unexpected failure.
