Gateron double-rail magnetic switch
The Keychron K2 HE keyboard comes with pre-lubricated Gateron double-rail magnetic switches for an exceptionally stable and ultra-responsive typing experience with lightning-fast response and precise control over how the keyboard feels and reacts. Unlike traditional mechanical switches, magnetic switches use pressure-sensitive Hall effect sensors to detect keystrokes, which means you can set the depth at which each keystroke activates with 0.1-millimetre precision.
Adjustable actuation point and Last Keystroke Prioritization feature
Precisely customise each key and set actuation points from 0.2 to 3.8mm with 0.1mm sensitivity. Set a shallow keystroke for instant actions and a deeper one for deliberate engagement, minimising accidental touches and giving you an edge in both gaming and typing. The LKP feature enables smooth directional changes by prioritising the last key pressed, ensuring smoother gameplay in titles like Valorant. With the Snap Click feature, deeper keystrokes take precedence when two keys are pressed at once, automatically resetting shallower presses.
Dynamic Rapid Trigger
Activate or deactivate keys based on the distance they travel, not on predefined points. This means instant key responses – press to activate, release to reset – which enables faster and more accurate key presses. During fast-paced gameplay, this means performing complex actions in real-time without delay.
One key, multiple actions
With the Dynamic Keystrokes (DKS) feature, you can now assign up to 4 different actions to a key based on the depth of the press. A light press of a key makes the character move, a deeper press makes them sprint, and releasing the key activates other commands. Multi-level control lets you perform multiple movements with ease, streamlining your gameplay while improving control and speed, making your reactions faster and more precise.
Analogue mode
Enjoy the power of analogue mode on the K2 HE keyboard, bringing you gamepad-like precision. Analogue mode enables variable inputs instead of the usual on/off signals, allowing you to achieve smoother and more dynamic control. The K2 HE detects how far you press with each keystroke and translates this into different speeds and intensities. Enjoy fine-tuned control and increased responsiveness in racing games, sports simulations and more.
Program with QMK and Launcher
The open-source QMK firmware means endless possibilities for remapping keys, macros, shortcuts and more. Use the Keychron Launcher web app to effortlessly remap keys, set actuation points, configure magnetic switches, and create personalised macro commands, shortcuts, and key combinations for every key. Experience top-tier gaming performance on the go with the K2 HE's wireless 2.4GHz connection and a fast 1000Hz polling rate. For seamless multitasking on your computer, phone, and tablet, you can effortlessly connect the K2 HE to three devices via Bluetooth 5.2.
Satisfying acoustics and a powerful core inside
With pre-lubricated switches, 3.5mm thick EVA acoustic foam, EPDM foam and a silicone pad inside, the Keychron K2 HE keyboard delivers an exceptionally satisfying, soft and dense typing sound, enhancing your typing experience. A powerful chip (MCU) with 256K flash memory and open-source QMK firmware provides developers with greater flexibility. The polling rate is 1000Hz out of the box in Type-C wired mode and 2.4GHz mode, which is a great help for competitive gaming.
Suitable for all devices
Built with Mac users in mind while maintaining compatibility with Windows devices, the K2 HE features a system toggle and an additional set of customised keycaps for both Windows and macOS. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system. The PBT keycaps with a non-shiny “OSA” profile on the special editions provide excellent oil resistance, improve the typing feel and prevent legends from fading.
Hot-swap and RGB keyboard backlighting
Unlike mechanical switches that rely on physical contact, Hall effect magnetic switches use magnets to detect key presses. The switch can be effortlessly swapped with compatible Hall effect magnetic switches. The K2 HE is only compatible with the double-rail magnetic switches sold on the Keychron website. Choose from over 22 RGB backlight modes and fine-tune the hue, saturation, brightness and effect speed directly in the Keychron Launcher web app. The enhanced stabilisers now have reinforced sidewalls around the foot to provide additional protection and significantly improve stability, creating a tighter connection between the switches and keycaps for a smoother, more reliable typing experience on large keys like spacebar, shift, enter, and delete.
