Key features of the expansion for the board game Traitors - Murder in the Castle

The Traitors - Murder in the Castle expansion brings new intrigue and challenges

In the Traitors - Murder in the Castle expansion, games are played through six separate missions, each with its own set of trials and armoury cards. At the start of the game you choose one of the decks, which also includes a new Traitor card. This is included in the basic roles and randomly distributed to players, so no one knows what behaviour to expect from the traitor during the game. After preparing the trials and armory cards, the first task the team must complete to earn gold for the prize pool begins. Each test has its own conditions, which require a quick agreement and a common procedure. Failure can play into the hands of a traitor who subtly weakens the group, while Armory cards can greatly influence the course of a mission - some help players, others add more obstacles. It is therefore important to observe the behaviour of others during the game, as even small decisions can indicate hidden intentions. After all the trials have been played, there is a round table ritual where players evaluate the mission and vote anonymously on who is the traitor. If the traitor manages to stay hidden, he gains an advantage until the final phase. In the final duel, there is a psychological clash over the prize pool - players can share, or one of them can try to get it all for themselves. The expansion allows you to arrange the missions in any order, so that each game has a different course and level of tension.
