The HmIP-SK7 security system starter kit is designed for the initial integration of the Homematic IP smart home with a focus on intrusion and burglary protection. The central unit at the heart of your smart home
The wireless connection of Homematic IP devices to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit offers convenient setup and control of the complex smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the devices, and forward configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual smart home devices.
Indoor alarm motion detector with brightness sensor
The HmIP-SMI motion detector is activated as soon as its PIR sensor detects motion during active protection. The system immediately performs the pre-configured operation and informs you of the event via push notifications from the Homematic IP mobile app on your smartphone. In addition, the integrated brightness sensor enables automatic control of the lighting when motion is detected or, for greater comfort and maximum energy savings, the lighting is activated only when needed, depending on the preset brightness value and the lighting conditions in the room.
Optical alarm contact against window and door intrusion
In security mode, activation of the HmIP-SWDO sensor based on the innovative optical technology of the infrared light barrier declares an alarm and the system immediately performs a preconfigured operation. The Homematic IP mobile app provides you with up-to-date information on alarm activity and protection status in your smart home system, while at the same time providing a sense of security when you leave your home, whether you are on the move or anywhere else, thanks to the overview of all events.
Indoor siren warns of danger and scares off intruders
The HmIP-ASIR-2 indoor siren is an essential part of your alarm system. It reliably alerts you to danger, scares off intruders and attracts attention. The siren takes less than two seconds to activate the audible alarm and bright LED indicators in response to the alarm signal. The alarm can be triggered, for example, by a breach of the area monitored by the PIR motion sensor or by a window/door breakout under the protection of the Homematic IP window and door sensor. In this case, the siren will sound an alarm and you will be informed of the event via push notifications from the Homematic IP mobile app on your smartphone.

The battery components of the Homematic IP system are ideal for all-round protection in homes, offices, apartments, cottages, etc. During installation and when creating profiles and scenarios in the mobile app, you can take into account all your needs in terms of building security requirements, automation, heating and a range of other criteria depending on your priorities. In a simple way, you can gradually expand, control and automate your smart home system.
Capacity of your Homematic IP smart system
Up to 15 users, 80 system components, video cameras for event verification, configure automation control processes and create countless scenarios can be connected to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit. By connecting an additional HmIP-HAP Central Unit, the system can be expanded by up to 40 additional system components (maximum 120 components and 2 Central Units per installation).

With the smartphone app, you can handle even seemingly complex configurations in just a few minutes. Once connected to the central unit, it becomes the smart hub of your installation, allowing you to control and configure the management of your entire smart home, whether you're at home, at work or on the move. The free mobile app requires no registration and is designed for Android and iOS smart devices. It is there to constantly adapt to modern trends, optimise and evolve according to your wishes and needs.
Voice control
In addition to manual control and remote control via mobile app, the Homematic IP smart home system also offers voice control support and communication with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Home Connect Plus technology. For secure, stable and reliable communication between devices, the system has its own unique radio technology with encrypted security, making it the first smart home system whose protocol, IT and data security are regularly tested and certified by the independent VDE institute.
Easy installation in just a few moments
The wireless communication and battery operation of the individual components of the starter kit offers the possibility of easy installation without the need for wiring. You connect the central unit to a 230 V network, connect it via an Ethernet cable to a standard router. You install the Homematic IP app and pair the devices by scanning the QR code. And that's it, simply in a few steps you are done.
