Homematic IP Temperature and humidity sensor - indoor - HmIP-STH

Homematic IP Temperature and humidity sensor - indoor - HmIP-STH
Homematic IP represents a complete revolution in Smart Home, bringing uncompromising German quality, comprehensive solutions and broad modularity with an extensive portfolio of devices. The wireless wall-mounted temperature and humidity sensor (HmIP-STH), designed for indoor installations, is an intelligent way to control heating and save energy. The sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and enables precise temperature control via a central unit (HmIP-HAP) in conjunction with one or more Homematic IP radiator thermostatic heads (HmIP-eTRV) or floor heating actuators (HmIP-FAL). The device can be operated independently of the system for direct control of floor heating actuators (HmIP-FAL). With its compact dimensions, the HmIP-STH wall-mounted sensor in a frame is comparable in size to a standard light switch.

Compatible with the Google Home platform
Through the Google Home app, you'll be able to control smart bulbs, thermostats, cameras or speakers, all from one place, by touch or voice. Set up everything you need by following the on-screen instructions in the app installed on your smartphone. Google Home supports thousands of devices from different manufacturers.

Compatible with the manufacturer's app
To use the product's smart features, you need to add the device to the manufacturer's app. For more information about the application (name, supported OS, supported languages) and how to add a device to the application, please refer to the product manual.
System operation
The wireless connection of the wall sensor (HmIP-STH) to the central unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system via an intuitive mobile app for Android and iOS. The app enables instant response to messages and alerts from the system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud. The cloud allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of devices, and pass configuration and operational commands to individual smart home devices.

Intelligent control
The measured values are cyclically transmitted via the central unit (HmIP-HAP) to the Homematic IP mobile app and allow remote monitoring and individual room climate control. By looking at the smartphone screen, the user gets real information about the temperature and current humidity in the room, even if it is outside the monitored facility. Thanks to the integrated sensor, the humidity status can be evaluated and the air conditioning or ventilation can be controlled efficiently.

Unique solution
Suitable for areas where manual temperature control is undesirable, the device helps to control the room temperature and heating process according to individual needs, resulting in energy savings of up to 30%. The system is fully functional in combination with thermostatic head (HmIP-eTRV), window and door sensor (HmIP-SWDx) and central unit (HmIP-HAP)where all system functions can be used, including intelligent heating prediction. The mobile app can be used to set weekly temperature profiles, daily temperature increase or decrease modes or advanced scenarios. The profiles and scenarios take into account the needs of heating automation, energy savings and sensible temperature. The night mode ensures a comfortable sleep and a comfortable temperature when entering the heated bathroom in the morning. The user can set an individual temperature in the living room or save energy when not at home.

Easy to assemble
Wireless communication and battery operation allow easy installation without wiring. The sensor can be placed anywhere in the room and measure the temperature at the desired location. Fixing is possible with mounting material (dowels, screws) or the supplied adhesive strips. Power is provided by two AAA pencil batteries with a lifetime of up to 2 years. The thermostat can be integrated into a 55 mm battery component stand (HmIP-DS55) or operated with a 55 mm battery component power supply (HmIP-BPS-2). The open design allows integration into third-party frames (e.g. Berker, Elso, Gira, Merten, Jung).

Wide range of applications
Ideal for homes, offices, businesses and healthcare facilities. Advanced heating prediction, control algorithm and timer programs reduce heating costs and ensure optimal temperature without wasting energy.
