Encrypted communication
Signal transmission occurs via the wireless Homematic IP RF protocol on the 868–868.6MHz and 869.4–869.65MHz frequencies. This encrypted communication protocol ensures a secure connection between the controller and the central unit. The typical radio signal range is up to 200m in open space, which makes it easy to place the device even in larger buildings.
Installation and integration
The 55×55×17mm design allows for installation in standard flush-mounted boxes, adhesion to smooth surfaces using the supplied adhesive tape, or freestanding placement. The device is compatible with 55mm frames from manufacturers like Berker, Gira, or Merten, so it will blend in with the design of existing electrical fittings in your interior.
Power and voice control
Operation is powered by two AAA batteries, which keep the device running for up to 4 years without needing to be replaced. The system supports integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants. The entire system can be managed and configured in the app, which is available for iOS and Android operating systems.
