Loppers

Pruning shears or loppers are produced as single handed and two handed. While the one-handed models cut branches up to a diameter of approx. 26 mm, two-handed models are able to cut branches up to a diameter of 40 mm (depending on the specific model). Two-handed models also have a longer handle.

Types of Loppers

Pruner - compared to the anvil this cuts more accurately. Suitable to cut wood and young plants.
Anvil - suitable for cutting hard, matured and dry wood. While the blade penetrates into the wood, the anvil holds the branch, to prevent damage.

Telescopic handle (with two-handed scissors) allows cutting of remote branches.
Soft grip provides a tighter grip with less expenditure of energy.
Lock shears when not in use and prevents accidental injuries.
