BOSCH HSS-Co twist drill bit is designed for precision metal drilling. High-speed steel alloyed with 5% cobalt content provides high heat and wear resistance, which extends its lifespan, especially when working with stainless steel. The 135° split-point tip enables active cutting and precise centering without the need for pre-punching. The drill bit is suitable for use in both portable and bench drills with a cylindrical shank.

Durability and precision when working with metal

The body of the drill bit is made of high-speed steel (HSS) and alloyed with 5% cobalt content. This combination ensures excellent surface quality of the drilled hole, high wear resistance and protection against high temperatures generated when working with hard materials. The split-point tip ensures active engagement into the material without slipping, which contributes to precise guidance from the very start. The design meets the requirements of the DIN 338 standard.

Designed for efficient drilling

The drill bit features two flutes and two cutting edges that ensure fast and smooth chip removal from the drilled hole. This reduces friction and heat build-up, which further extends the lifespan of the tool. The cylindrical shank has the same diameter as the drill bit itself, enabling secure and stable clamping in the chuck of most standard drills. The drill bit is designed for working with materials such as stainless steel (e.g. V2A/V4A), grey cast iron or cast steel.
