CHOICES
Travellers
Each traveller in Octopath Traveler II Nintendo Switch 2 has their own Path Action. You will see opportunities to interact with townspeople, obtain their items, and have them accompany you. You decide the direction of your journey and how you explore, with many different paths and stories laid out before you.
EXPLORATION
Day and Night
With the press of a single button, you can switch between day and night in Octopath Traveler II Nintendo Switch 2. Towns and their inhabitants transform with the time of day, and Path Actions also change, so exploring Solistia offers different possibilities depending on the current time.
JOBS
Combat
The Break and Boost systems remain the foundation of combat in Octopath Traveler II Nintendo Switch 2, complemented by the free assignment of jobs and abilities to individual travellers. Each character also has their own unique Latent Power, which you can use to change the course of a battle. New game mechanics expand the tactical possibilities of your journey.
OCEAN
A Shared Story
Octopath Traveler II Nintendo Switch 2 also introduces a new type of story in which two characters share a journey together. As you explore, you can cross rivers in a canoe and take to the sea by ship, allowing you to reach distant corners of the world. A significant part of the adventure is also the HD-2D visuals, which combine traditional pixel art with 3DCG, taking the series' signature style to a new level.
