Edge of Memories: Deluxe Edition - PS5
Corrosion in Avaris
The continent of Avaris is gripped by Corrosion, a terrible disease that turns fauna, flora, and people into grotesque monsters. In the story of Edge of Memories PS5, you will venture into a land whose nomadic peoples have so far lived apart from the horrors that ravaged the continent of Astrya, and are now facing their own demise.
Eline and the Dark Force
Playing as Eline, a young nomadic Soulwielder, you will fight against creatures afflicted by the Corrosion. After a mysterious encounter, a dark force awakens within her, and the ability to control the Corrosion in her own body becomes a possible key to ending the apocalypse. Edge of Memories PS5 will take you on a journey where Eline is accompanied by her mentor Ysoris and Kanto, a shamanic prince of one of the lost tribes.
Power-Packed Combat
In Edge of Memories PS5, you'll engage in intense real-time battles and create devastating attack combinations by alternating between swift strikes and devastating techniques. You'll see the power of your allies, whose skills you can customise and use at strategic moments for even more destructive attacks. The accumulated rage will allow you to transform into a Berserker and perform deadly strikes, finished off with a series of merciless executions.
COMPANION
The Ever-Changing World of Avaris
The vast Avaris offers a landscape ranging from the idyllic sandy shores of the port city of Sarlah Durah to the snowy peaks of the Kezal Mountains. In Edge of Memories PS5, you will observe traces of the Corrosion in colourful and vibrant environments that transform as you progress through the story. Places you have already passed through take on new forms, opening up extraordinary paths for further exploration. To travel quickly through the vast areas, you will use Nekaroo, a faithful feline companion with the agility needed to overcome hard-to-reach places.
ANIME
The Anime World of Heryon
The visuals of Edge of Memories PS5 draw inspiration from Japanese anime, presenting the colourful world of Heryon through the continent of Avaris. The distinctive environments are brought to life by Unreal Engine 5 and, alongside impressive scenery, will offer a view of the beauty of a landscape gradually consumed by the Corrosion. Each area shows a different face of the ruined continent, highlighting the world's transformation during your journey.
CORROSION
An Epic Full of Emotion
The story of Edge of Memories PS5 is built on an original narrative where every quest is meaningful to the plot, the characters, or their relationships. You will witness the lives of nomadic peoples forced to migrate by the Corrosion, and the fates of those who have chosen to await death while celebrating life. Eline will thus face both imposing adversaries and the destinies of the inhabitants of Avaris on her path to save the world.
SOUNDTRACK
A Responsive Score
The atmosphere of Edge of Memories PS5 is accompanied by a dynamic and adaptive soundtrack composed by Cédric Menendez. While exploring Avaris and during combat with corrupted enemies, you'll hear tracks complemented by the vocals of Emi Evans, known for her work on NieR. Eline's journey is brought to a close with a final theme by Yasunori Mitsuda, the composer behind Chrono Trigger, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Sea of Stars.
