The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18-120mm f/4.0 LM PZ WR lens for Fujifilm X-mount digital mirrorless cameras is designed for APS-C sensors and offers a focal length equivalent to 27 to 183 mm in 35mm format. The standard zoom covers a versatile range from wide-angle to telephoto and is designed with an emphasis on intuitive zoom, focus and aperture control. This is the first X-Series lens developed in collaboration with Fujinon film and TV lens designers, tailored to the needs of professionals and video production enthusiasts alike. It offers a 6.7x powerful zoom that also makes it easy to shoot in a variety of situations, from landscapes to portraits to product photography. The lens features autofocus, dust and moisture resistance and weighs 460 grams. It has no thread for screw-in filters.

Precise focus and exposure control for videomaking

With variable zoom performance, smooth manual focusing and support for continuous aperture control on select cameras, the lens allows precise and fine control of focus and exposure, making it well suited for shooting video. In addition to the normal zoom and focus rings (direct and intuitive manual control), the lens also features a zoom/focus control ring (closest to the camera body) and two function buttons.

Flexible zoom and focus control for precise adjustment

When the zoom/focus ring is rotated, the zoom speed is proportional to the rotation speed of the zoom ring (variable speed). On the other hand, you can use the zoom button to adjust the zoom in/out of the zoom using a constant speed. The Z/F button changes the function of the ring from focus to zoom or vice versa.

Ideal lens for gimbal stabilisation equipment thanks to its compact design

Zoom lenses are rarely used on gimbal stabilization devices because changing the focal length of the lens can affect its center of gravity, which affects the balance of the lens on the stabilization device. However, its compact size, 460g weight and internal zoom mechanism make the XF18-120mm f/4 LM PZ WR ideal for use with a gimbal, as its physical length does not change when the zoom setting is changed.

Excellent optical performance for close-ups and precise bokeh

The lens consists of 15 optical elements in 12 groups, including three aspherical elements and three ED elements, which effectively suppress spherical aberration, distortion, chromatic aberration and provide excellent image resolution and colour accuracy. The optimal positioning of the aspherical elements allows for close-up photography at a maximum magnification ratio of 0.2×. Minimum focusing distance is just 46 cm from the front-most lens element. The rounded seven-lamel aperture contributes to smooth, circular bokeh when using a shallow depth of field.

Fast and accurate autofocus with internal focusing

The lens uses the Inner Focus system, which drives a compact and lightweight focusing group via a linear motor. The focusing lens group design facilitates precise autofocusing with a speed of approximately 0.02 seconds. The XF18-120mm f/4 LM PZ WR will always be ready for unexpected creative moments thanks to its weatherproof design and fluorine-coated front and rear elements, which are designed to repel dust and moisture from lens surfaces for easy cleaning. Shoot confidently in wet or dusty conditions at temperatures as low as -10°C and focus on creating a new masterpiece.
