Windshield Mounting
Windshield mounting describes the way a car camera is attached to the inside of a vehicle's front window. A suction cup mount is commonly used, which allows for repeated removal and repositioning of the camera. Another option is an adhesive mount, often with durable double-sided tape, which ensures a firm and permanent connection to the glass. There are also mounts with a magnetic mechanism. With these, a base is adhered to the glass, to which the camera body then simply magnetically attaches, facilitating its quick removal.
