Electrostimulators for Wrinkle Reduction

Electrostimulators for wrinkle reduction are cosmetic devices that utilize weak electrical impulses to rejuvenate the skin. They operate on two main principles. The first is microcurrent therapy, which uses very low levels of current to stimulate skin cells for increased production of collagen and elastin. These are proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity, and their production decreases with age. The second principle is electrical muscle stimulation, known as EMS. This uses somewhat stronger impulses that cause gentle contractions of the facial muscles. Through this "exercise," the muscles are strengthened and toned, leading to the smoothing of the overlying skin and a reduction in the visibility of wrinkles. The goal of both technologies is to improve skin blood circulation, support its natural regeneration, and achieve a firmer, more youthful appearance.
