Cartridge filter
A cartridge filter is a component of a vacuum cleaner that serves to capture fine impurities, such as dust or allergens, from the inhaled air. It typically has a cylindrical shape with a pleated, accordion-like surface made of paper or synthetic material. This design, referred to as "pleating," increases the total filter surface area without increasing the dimensions of the filter itself, allowing it to capture more dirt. The filter protects the vacuum cleaner's motor from damage by fine particles and simultaneously cleans the air that is returned to the room. Depending on the material, some filters can be cleaned and reused, for example, by tapping them out or washing them. However, after a certain period and level of contamination, it is necessary to replace it with a new one to maintain suction efficiency and filtration performance.
