Camera File Protection
A car camera records in a loop, which means that once the memory card is full, the oldest files are automatically overwritten. File protection is a feature that prevents important recordings from being deleted. It is activated either automatically or manually. Automatic activation takes place via a so-called G-sensor. This sensor detects a sudden change in motion, for example, during sudden braking, an impact, or if someone crashes into a parked car. As soon as the G-sensor detects such an event, it immediately locks the currently recording file. The locked file is moved to a special folder on the memory card and cannot be overwritten by regular loop recording. The driver also has the option to manually activate the protection by pressing a designated button on the camera if they witness an event they wish to save.
