GPS for dash cam

GPS stands for Global Positioning System. A car camera with a GPS module can receive signals from satellites, based on which it determines its exact position and current speed. These data, i.e., geographical coordinates and speed, are then stored directly in the video footage. When playing back the recording on a computer, you can view the traveled route on a map and find out what speed the vehicle was moving at that specific moment.
