Benchtop Circular Saw
A benchtop circular saw is a stationary machine in which a circular saw blade protrudes from the work table and rotates in a fixed position. The operator feeds the material across the table to the blade, usually with the help of a rip fence or an angle fence. The table and fence provide stable guidance, which makes the cut accurate and easily repeatable. The blade height can usually be adjusted, and on many models the blade can also be tilted for angled cuts. The saw is suitable for both rip cutting and crosscutting wood and boards in a workshop. Compared to a handheld circular saw, it offers higher accuracy and stability, but it is not portable. Safety must be observed during work, and the protective guard and push aids should be used.
