2K video resolution

2K video resolution is a designation for the image quality of a recording that has a width of approximately 2,000 picture elements, also known as pixels. Most commonly, it refers to a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, which is also referred to as QHD or 1440p. A higher pixel count compared to the more common Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) means that the image is sharper and contains more details. This makes it easier to recognize, for example, vehicle license plates or road signs in the recorded footage, even when zooming in on the image.
