High-quality printing and long photo life
The Canon SELPHY QX20 uses a dye-sublimation thermal transfer printing system. The print mechanism operates at a resolution of 287×287 DPI with three colour inks in yellow, cyan and magenta. Each colour has 256 shade levels, which corresponds to a 24-bit colour depth. After the three print passes are complete, a protective coating is applied to the photograph. The prints have a durability of up to 100 years. It takes approximately 40 seconds to create a photo. The technology is designed for printing vibrant, rich colour images.
Wireless operation and creative options
The printer communicates with compatible iOS and Android devices via the Direct Wi-Fi function. Printing is controlled via the SELPHY Photo Layout app. The app lets you add stamps, filters, borders, text, collages, frames and customisable edges. The SELPHY QX20 model supports printing on 72×85mm XS-20L square photo paper as well as on 54×85mm XC-20L and XC-60L photo paper. Both media types use a self-adhesive back for creative use. The built-in battery allows you to print up to 20 sheets on a single charge. Charging is handled by the supplied USB Type-C power cable.
