Printing technology and quality
The Canon SELPHY CP1000 uses dye-sublimation printing with a maximum resolution of 300×300 DPI. The printing system works with three colour inks supplemented by a protective surface coating. Each colour offers 256 shade levels, which corresponds to a 24-bit colour depth. It prints a postcard-sized photo in approximately 47 seconds. The printer supports modes for selecting individual images, batch printing, printing all photos, and printing ID photos. A cropping function is also available. Print settings include a gloss finish and three semi-gloss finish options.
Photo printing and editing options
The Canon SELPHY CP1000 dye-sublimation printer offers tools for image optimisation, face detection, contrast correction, and noise reduction. It also features red-eye correction, brightness adjustment, and a choice of colour effects. The model is equipped with a 6.8cm colour TFT LCD with a tilting mechanism. Printing takes place directly from compatible cameras via PictBridge technology. The device also supports printing from CF, SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards and from USB flash drives. A USB Type-B port provides connection to a computer.
