Focal length magnification for super telephoto lenses
The EF 1.4x III teleconverter increases the 1.4x focal length of the L-series IS supertelephoto lenses for which it is specifically designed. The design of the teleconverter ensures that there is no loss of lens performance or loss of image quality.
High quality construction
Advanced anti-reflective materials inside the teleconverter body and coating on the outer edges of the lenses reduce the appearance of flare. The design is dust- and water-resistant, contributing to the image quality. Lenses with dust and moisture protection are equipped with a rubber seal on the bayonet, which can cause minor abrasions on the camera bayonet. However, this does not affect the functionality of the lens or the camera.
Built-in microprocessor for accurate data transfer and increased performance
A built-in microprocessor enables precise data transfer between the teleconverter and the camera, contributing to the enhanced performance of the autofocus and metering system.
