The Canon EOS R50 mirrorless camera also features a flexible swivel touchscreen that allows you to shoot from almost any angle - from above or almost from the ground, or flip it towards you. It's up to you what angle you choose, the camera will definitely not be a hindrance in this regard.
The Canon EOS R50 mirrorless camera impresses with ultra-fast focusing
The Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus II system with over 651 zones works with the powerful DIGIC X image processor to detect and track subjects very quickly, even near the edges of the frame. Fast continuous shooting allows you to shoot up to 12 frames per second, and up to 15 frames per second using the silent electronic shutter. Transfer and share multimedia files with the Camera Connect mobile app. Bluetooth and WiFi wireless technology is also available, allowing remote shooting or changing the settings and composition of the image.
Gives free rein to your creativity
Focus bracketing and depth of field composition ensure that your images automatically have a natural depth of field. Creative bracketing with Advanced A+ mode then allows you to make more adjustments and gives you plenty of other options. All this very easily, just choose your favorite effect. The large APS-C sensor boasts great results even in low light - in Advanced A+ mode, it automatically detects the "Night Scene" mode, where the Canon EOS R50 takes multiple shots and then automatically combines them into one final image that is perfectly clear and sharp.
Trimming guide firmware offers easier work
The Composition Guide is ideal for commercial portrait photographers who want to achieve consistent composition across a large number of portraits. Shows the exact position of the model. 4 different composition options and vertical or horizontal composition provide versatility and easy post-production. Requires activation through a Canon Service Centre.
Canon EOS R50 is a great choice not only for filmmakers
The camera lets you capture ultra-detailed footage in 4K Ultra HD resolution at 30 frames per second - even for more than 30 minutes. The Canon EOS R50 is equipped with a range of video shooting features that will be appreciated not only by professional filmmakers, but also by streamers and others. Advanced features add a creative touch to your shots. Full HD slow-motion at 120 frames per second allows you to slow down your video 4x. Through a USB interface, the camera can be connected to a computer and used as a webcam for high-quality video calling and streaming.

The ideal lens to start exploring
Using a compact APS-C sensor lens for the EOS R-series cameras, the RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM has a zoom range of 29-72mm. When you have 4 EV image stabilization on hand, you will rarely use flash. The lens gives you confidence and stability when shooting and you get an even greater degree of compensation when using a compatible camera. It's ideal for travel, family photography or even vlogging and can be easily stored in your bag.
Smooth and silent focusing with creative controls
The STM motor enables smooth, quiet and precise focusing, while the f/4.5-6.3 circular aperture with seven blades is ideal for creating artistic highlights in the out-of-focus area, or "bokeh". Go manual and focus up close thanks to the higher magnification in manual focus mode. It's the perfect solution for capturing objects in exquisite detail, allowing you to zoom in up to 15cm with 0.25x magnification.
Lightweight and compact for every day
The combined weight of the RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens and the EOS R mirrorless camera with APS-C sensor is considerably less than that of a DSLR. The lighter weight means you can use the camera for longer and never miss a moment.
Canon EOS R50 review
Canon has recently introduced a new mirrorless camera, the Canon EOS R50 with an APS-C format chip, which is characterised by its extremely small dimensions, very low weight and also low price, but with a full Canon RF bayonet, high quality photos and a decent load of features for both photography, as well as for shooting video. Especially for younger and beginning action photographers, but also vloggers, it can be a very interesting choice, or an alternative to the higher, previously mentioned Canon EOS R10.
