The Brother HL-L8570CDW laser printer is designed for printing both monochrome and colour documents in an office environment. Weighing 21.3kg, the device uses four-colour laser technology and prints at speeds of up to 31 pages per minute for single-sided A4 monochrome and colour printing. Its 1GB internal memory processes print jobs sent from a computer or mobile phone. The internal 1200MHz processor manages all printing processes and reduces processing time for more complex files. Users can take advantage of automatic A4 duplex printing, which operates at 20 pages per minute in both colour and monochrome modes. The printer's warm-up time from sleep mode is 15.1 seconds, and it prints the first monochrome page in less than 9.9 seconds.

The printer offers a wide range of interfaces for integration into a corporate network as well as local connection to a computer. Wired connectivity is provided by Gigabit Ethernet with speeds up to 1000Base-T. Wireless communication is handled by dual-band Wi-Fi in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. There is also an integrated NFC interface for secure user authentication and mobile printing via Apple AirPrint, Mopria or the Brother Mobile Connect app. Setting up print jobs and managing the entire device is easy with the 2.7" (6.8cm) colour touchscreen. Advanced security protocols, including SSL/TLS, IP filter and IEEE 802.1x authentication, protect sensitive data in a corporate environment. The printer includes Secure Function Lock 3.0 and a panel lock option. Firmware security is enhanced by Secure Boot and digitally signed firmware to protect against unauthorised code.
Paper handling and consumable capacity
The basic paper capacity consists of a standard 250-sheet input tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray, which is suitable for printing on envelopes or thicker media. The total input capacity can be expanded to up to 1290 sheets of paper. A built-in paper sensor automatically detects when the printer is low on or completely out of paper. The output tray holds 150 sheets face down, and a 1-sheet face-up output is available for a straight paper path. The printer uses a system of four separate colour cartridges, which helps to optimise running costs. A separate drum unit with a life of 50000 pages reduces the frequency of service interventions. The belt unit with a capacity of 100000 pages and the waste toner box rated for 50000 pages also contribute to long-term operation.

The device supports printing on a wide range of paper media of various sizes and weights. The standard tray handles A4, A5, A6, Letter, Legal and Executive formats. The multipurpose feeder can handle paper with a weight from 60g/m² to 163g/m². The printer works with thin, standard, thick and recycled paper, expanding its use for printing various types of internal and external company documents.
