This dietary supplement contains a balanced combination of important vitamins (folic acid, vitamin D, zinc) and minerals (iodine, iron) for women in the period from baby planning to the end of breastfeeding. The daily dose (2 capsules) also contains 400 μg of the active form of folic acid (calcium L-methylfolate). Folic acid is a B vitamin (vitamin B9) whose increased intake is especially important before a planned pregnancy and in the first weeks of pregnancy. - Folate and its supplementation increases folate levels in pregnant women. Low folate levels in pregnant women are a risk factor for neural tube defects in the developing fetus.
