MAISON FRANCIS KURKDJIAN Baccarat Rouge 540 EdP 35 ml

MAISON FRANCIS KURKDJIAN Baccarat Rouge 540 EdP 35 ml
Baccarat Rouge 540 was born from the encounter between Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Baccarat, whose 250th anniversary was celebrated with the Baccarat Rouge 540 eau de parfum, which evokes the clarity and density of crystal. In this woody, amber, and floral fragrance, Francis Kurkdjian sought to capture the poetic alchemy of crystal making, creating a unique composition based on three auras.

In the head of the fragrance, the fresh notes of jasmine flowers and the radiance of saffron evoke an airy aura. The fragrance is complemented by an accord reminiscent of ambergris and dry woody notes, embodying a mineral aura. Finally, the aura of fire is hinted at by the addictive sensuality of ethyl maltol, an ingredient with gourmand notes. The radiant and refined Baccarat Rouge 540 eau de parfum caresses the skin with an enveloping veil of woody, amber, and floral notes. Its unmistakable, graphic, and exceptionally concentrated character creates a distinctive, long-lasting scent trail.

Hedione
The aromatic compound Hedione, developed in the 1960s, has become one of the most widely used fragrance ingredients. In its isolated form, it recalls the floral and very fresh delicacy of Grandiflorum jasmine with a slight lemony touch, much like a slice of lemon dipped in a glass. In its natural state, it is part of the fragrance of tea and jasmine, although its character is different, more airy and radiant. In addition to its transparency and lightness, it connects other ingredients and gives the composition freshness, volume, and a more pronounced diffusion. Francis Kurkdjian calls it a breeze of petals.
Ambroxan
Ambroxan is derived from sclareol, one of the natural components of clary sage. It was created in the 1950s and gradually replaced natural ambergris, which is obtained from the secretions of the sperm whale. Ambroxan mimics its diverse ambery, dry woody, and mineral notes. It is an exceptionally intense woody fragrance ingredient with a long-lasting scent trail, which adds a modern sensuality to any composition. Ambroxan has given rise to a large group of similar molecules, often referred to as 'amber woods'.
Saffron
Saffron comes from the stigma of a certain type of crocus and has earned the nickname 'red gold' as the world's most expensive spice. Natural saffron is not used in perfumery because it contains safrole, a highly allergenic compound. However, its effect is mimicked using one of its derivatives, safranal. Its very distinctive scent is bitter and slightly metallic, creating an alternating warm and cool effect in the composition. It also features leather and tar notes. Francis Kurkdjian likes to use saffron in the head of a fragrance, where it helps to disrupt the sweetness of citrus notes. It is often combined with oud-based fragrances and amber accords.
