AVACOM for Olympus BLM-5 Li-ion 7.2V 1620mAh 12Wh
AVACOM batteries for digital cameras made from high-quality components
AVACOM digital camera batteries contain only high-quality cells that guarantee top performance and long service life. The batteries are equipped with gold-plated connectors and the latest control electronics for trouble-free communication with the device. They also contain a number of safety features to prevent overcharging, undercharging, overcurrent charging and short-circuiting. AVACOM batteries are more than just a good replacement for your original battery - most offer a greater capacity (and therefore longer life) than the original battery.
How to keep your battery in good condition
The battery is partially charged at the factory, yet its capacity and performance are still below 100%. Therefore, for optimal battery formatting, it is recommended to go through a full charge and full discharge cycle at least 3 times in the beginning. Battery capacity is reduced by permanent connection to the power supply, so we recommend that you disconnect it from time to time. When not using the battery, just store it in a dry place, but check and recharge it every six months.
Causes of battery damage
One of the most common causes of battery degradation is when you discharge it completely and then leave it unused for a long time. Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 60°C, and if the battery is exposed to temperatures below 5°C, charge it only after reaching room temperature. Only use the battery in the devices for which it is intended. Also be careful that the battery is not subjected to a short circuit or higher discharge currents. Protect your battery from mechanical damage, chemical agents, and moisture.
