Materials and manufacturing process

TPI bolts are based on high-grade steel, specifically a chrome vanadium (Cr-V) or chrome molybdenum (Cr-Mo) alloy. The entire cross-section of each bolt undergoes a heat-hardening process. This achieves consistent hardness and strength, contributing to their reliability. The surface finish is created by zinc plating or a process of triple nickel plating followed by chrome plating. This layer protects the bolts from corrosion, which is verified by a salt spray test. In addition, each production batch undergoes a tensile test to check its strength.
