GYS Plastic Repair Kit, for extensive damage
The GYS tool set is designed for repairing damaged plastic parts, such as cracks, tears, or holes. The repair process involves welding a stainless steel reinforcing mesh and then applying molten plastic. With its adjustable melting temperature, the device can handle a wide range of materials, including thermoplastics and thermosets. Once cooled, the repaired area can be sanded to achieve a smooth surface. The entire set comes in a plastic case for easy storage and transport.

Repair procedure and compatible materials
The repair itself begins by reinforcing the damaged area from the back using the included stainless steel reinforcing mesh. Next, the hot tip of the device applies molten plastic from the melting rods, which are made of glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene. The set is versatile and can handle common polyethylenes (PE) and polypropylenes (PP), as well as other thermoplastics like PP/EPDM, TEEE, TPE, TPO, TPU, and TPUR. It is also suitable for repairing thermosets, which include PUR, RIM, RRIM, or EEBC.
It is recommended to carry out repairs on dismantled plastic parts.
