Gyeon Q2 FabricCoat is a ceramic textile protector based on silicon dioxide (SiO2). It creates an invisible coating on fabrics, which protects them from water, dirt, and harmful UV radiation. Thanks to its hydrophobic properties, it repels liquids and makes subsequent cleaning of upholstery significantly easier. The product provides protection for textiles for up to 6 months and helps keep surfaces cleaner for longer. It is applied using a spray.

Hydrophobic protection and easy cleaning

Gyeon Q2 FabricCoat has strong hydrophobic properties. It forms an invisible layer on the treated textile that actively repels water and liquid dirt, preventing them from soaking into the fibre structure. This keeps the surfaces cleaner for longer. Subsequent maintenance is significantly easier, as for many types of dirt, even on convertible roofs, a rinse with a pressure washer is all that's needed.

Protection against UV radiation

In addition to protecting against dirt and moisture, Q2 FabricCoat also provides an effective barrier against UV radiation. The silicon dioxide coating prevents harmful sun rays from penetrating the fabric, which can cause it to gradually fade and lose its original appearance. This protection is particularly crucial for interior parts of vehicles that are exposed to the sun for long periods. The product thus helps to preserve the vibrancy of the upholstery colours.

Correct application procedure

For best results, apply the product only to a clean and completely dry surface. It is recommended to mask off surrounding plastic or leather parts to avoid hard-to-remove stains. Instead of one thick layer, it is better to apply two thin layers with some time in between. After each spray, it is a good idea to work the product into the textile using a soft brush or your palm in a nitrile glove. This ensures even coverage and optimal drying.
