Luminous Flux
This is measured in Lumens (lm), and the higher the value, the more intensely the headtorch shines. Some LED headtorches offer multiple brightness levels, adjustable either in steps or smoothly. However, a higher luminous flux reduces the battery life.Up to 100 lm – a headtorch for home use (lighting in the cellar, attic, or while repairing a car).
100–400 lm – for outdoor use (night running, cycling, camping).
Over 400 lm – for extreme professions and sports (rescuers, climbers).
