ASUS RP-AC68
Even faster connection to WiFi
The RP-AC68U wireless repeater is equipped with powerful internal MIMO antennas to help eliminate spots without signal, as well as improve the coverage of any existing wireless router. The device has a repeater function, which means it can extend the wireless network to every corner of the home, including hard-to-reach places.
Very high wireless speeds
The latest RP-AC68U repeater 802.11ac technology guarantees excellent Wireless-AC speeds of up to 1300Mbps with 5GHz bandwidth and 600Mbps in 2.4GHz band. This high-speed wireless connection is excellent for seamless gaming, faster web browsing, and other bandwidth-friendly tasks without the need for a wired connection.
One-touch installation
The Asus RP-AC68U does not require any installation disk and you can even install it without the mouse and keyboard. Just press the WPS buttons on the RP-AC68U and the router, and the setup is done. To access advanced settings, you can use the Ethernet cable to connect the RP-AC68U to your computer and directly view the configuration menu via the web interface. You can even adjust wireless settings from your tablet or smartphone.
Signal strength indicator
For the best results, the RP-AC68U must be within the range of stable signal from the router and should be placed between the router and the area where you require better wireless coverage. The optimal functionality of the RP-AC68U requires the reception of a strong wireless signal from the router. You can check the signal quality by using the signal strength indicator on the rear panel.
All your data in one place
Simply connect the USB storage to the USB 3.0 connector and your RP-AC68U will turn into a personal cloud server with ASUS AiCloud to access and stream content from anywhere. AiCloud is a free app for iOS and Android devices and provides you with the perfect mobile flexibility in combination with the RP-AC68U repeater.
Multimedia bridge mode
In multimedia bridge mode, the RP-AC68U adds wireless capability to all devices supporting Ethernet connections, including smart TVs, media players, and computers. Due to the state LEDs on the rear panel, you can easily check signal strength for both the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz frequency band.
Access point mode
With the RP-AC68U, a single-band router (2.4GHz) can be expanded with a fast and stable 5GHz band that offers up to 1300Mbps for smooth online gaming, 4K UHD streaming and faster downloads. In the case of an existing 5GHz band, the RP-AC68U adds another 5GHz bandwidth, allowing you to connect even more devices.
Stable connection anywhere in the home
With the practical Roaming Assist feature, you will never have to manually switch between the RP-AC68U and the ASUS router when you move around your home. When this feature is turned on, your device automatically connects to the strongest wireless signal, whether it is broadcast from a router or repeater. The result is always the most reliable connection anywhere in the home.
