ARCTIC BioniX P12 A-RGB Black

ARCTIC BioniX P12 A-RGB Black
The ARCTIC BioniX P12 A-RGB PC fan in black is designed for active cooling of computer components inside your PC case. This 120mm diameter fan uses 16 addressable diodes to create colourful lighting effects based on user settings and synchronisation. The 26mm thick device helps to maintain a stable operating temperature for all hardware components, even under heavy load. The manufacturer has also included anti-vibration elements, which dampen the transfer of vibrations to the PC case structure and reduce the overall noise of the system.

Speed control
This fan operates over a wide speed range, from 450 to 3000rpm. The system uses Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), which automatically adjusts the rotation speed based on the current temperature of the processor and graphics card. When the system load is low, the PWM signal drops below 5%, which activates the Zero RPM mode. In this state, the fan stops completely, eliminating all noise when the computer is idle. Speed control helps to save electricity and reduces wear on mechanical parts.
Quiet operation and fluid dynamic bearing
The mechanical design relies on a Fluid Dynamic Bearing. This advanced technology significantly reduces friction between moving parts, which in turn reduces the noise level during intensive operation. A special lubricant in the bearing prevents oil leakage and reduces shaft wear. This extends the overall operational life of the device, even under long-term load. The fan operates quietly without any unpleasant motor clicking or whistling.
High static pressure
The shaped fan blades are designed to generate a static pressure of 6.7mm H₂O. The device creates an airflow of up to 129m³/h, and in doing so, it contributes to the rapid dissipation of heat from critical areas of the computer case. The high pressure helps to efficiently push air through the dense fins of water-cooling radiators or passive CPU coolers. This ensures the system runs stably even in space-constrained and densely packed gaming builds.
Addressable lighting
The lighting circuit consists of 16 integrated A-RGB diodes that support a wide range of colour schemes. Users can easily synchronise lighting effects with their motherboard using compatible software tools like ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, or ASRock Polychrome. The diodes operate at a voltage of 5V DC and a current of 0.6A. Connection is made via a standard three-pin connector, which ensures a stable data signal for smooth colour transitions.
Connectivity
The fan's cabling uses practical modular connectors for easy daisy-chaining of multiple units. This connection method, known as a circular connection, reduces the number of loose cables inside the computer and makes clean cable management easier. The four-pin PWM connector transmits control signals and power at 12V DC with a current of 0.34A. The input cable is 400mm long, providing enough flexibility for connecting to more distant connectors on the motherboard.
Continuous operation
The design features and durable bearing support a continuous operation mode, designated as CO. The fan operates without failure in a wide temperature range from 0 to 40°C, so it can withstand the demanding operating conditions in high-load workstations. The materials used and the solid frame reliably withstand long-term mechanical stress.
