Apple HomePod mini 2 smart speaker
Apple HomePod mini 2 is a compact smart speaker with rich 360° sound, the Apple S10 chip, and a home hub function for Apple Home, HomeKit and Matter. It supports stereo pairing, multiroom audio via AirPlay, a four-speaker spatial setup with Apple TV 4K, temperature and humidity sensors, and the Sound Glow light feature.
Key features of the Apple HomePod mini 2 smart speaker, blue
- Rich 360° sound with Apple S10 chip and computational audio
- Stereo pairing, multiroom audio via AirPlay, and spatial setup with four HomePods
- Sound Glow feature synchronises light with your music
- Home hub for Apple Home Collection, HomeKit and Matter
- Temperature and humidity sensors, and smoke or CO alarm recognition
- Five colours: white, pink, blue, green and midnight
Big sound in a compact body
Apple HomePod mini 2 fills the room with rich 360° sound despite its minimal footprint. A full-range driver, dual passive radiators with vibration-cancelling technology, and computational audio with the Apple S10 chip continuously optimise dynamics, volume and acoustic performance.
Stereo, multiroom and home cinema
Connect two identical HomePod mini 2 speakers to create a stereo pair, or link multiple speakers via AirPlay to build a multiroom system. Pair four HomePod mini 2 or HomePod (2nd generation) speakers in matching front and rear pairs with an Apple TV 4K (4th generation) to create an automatically calibrated spatial home cinema setup.
Sound Glow turns music into a visual experience
The Sound Glow feature lights up the top touch surface with colours that match the artwork of the currently playing album, and the light pulses to the bass and treble. Visual animations also accompany selected ambient soundscapes, such as rain.
Smart home hub
HomePod mini 2 works as an Apple Home hub. Control compatible Apple Home Collection, HomeKit and Matter accessories using your voice or the Home app, trigger scenes and automations, and check on your home remotely. Integrated sensors monitor temperature and humidity, while Sound Recognition can alert you to smoke or carbon monoxide alarms.
Siri, multi-user support and privacy
Siri recognises the voices of up to six family members to deliver personalised requests. Siri AI is set to arrive in a future software update, with availability depending on supported languages and regions. Requests are processed directly on the device or via Private Cloud Compute without Apple gaining access to your data.
Five colours and a matching design
HomePod mini 2 comes in white, pink, blue, green and midnight. The seamless acoustic mesh and braided power cable are colour-matched to the speaker body, and the backlit top surface provides simple touch control.
