Pirapitinga is a network of small family farms between the towns of Divinolândia and Caconde, where the mountainous terrain (1,350 m above sea level) makes it the best place to live. m. ) coffee is still mostly hand-picked today. As part of FAF Coffees' Anhumas programme, farmers are sharing their experiences and transitioning to sustainable practices, including the use of micro-organisms for soil and plant health. The community lies in the caldera of an extinct volcano with volcanic soils and abundant springs, which slows the ripening of the coffee cherries and contributes to their sweetness.
Natural processing with an emphasis on quality
The harvested lots from Pirapitinga are dried, sorted and finished at the Serra do Cigano station, where João Hamilton oversees the quality. Typical are the natural profiles with pronounced sweetness and pure fruit notes. Precise sorting maintains the stability and consistency of the resulting taste. The name "Anhumas" refers to a Brazilian bird found in many coffee growing regions.

That's why we pack our coffees in opaque, triple-layered bags that protect the contents from air, moisture and light. It includes a handy zipper closure so you don't have to pour the coffee anywhere - simply reseal the bag after opening. The one-way valve allows the natural gases produced after roasting to escape, but at the same time does not let air in. As a result, AlzaCafé coffee stays fresh and full of flavour for many weeks or months. For maximum quality, we recommend storing it dry and at a constant temperature, out of the fridge and freezer.
