The ALPINESTARS RX-5 DRYSTARS textile motorcycle jacket is designed for sports touring in changeable spring conditions. With its fixed Drystar® climate membrane, it's 100% waterproof and breathable to keep you dry. For colder weather, there's a removable thermal liner. The jacket includes CE-certified shoulder and elbow protectors, and the cut is also compatible with the Tech-Air®5 airbag system. An extensive DVS ventilation system provides comfort in higher temperatures.

High level of protection

The ALPINESTARS RX-5 DRYSTARS jacket is CE-certified to class AA. Joint protection is provided by removable NUCLEON FLEX PRO protectors on the elbows and shoulders, complemented by external GP LITE sliders on the shoulders. You can upgrade the jacket with NUCLEON series back protectors, for which there is a dedicated pocket. The cut is also fully compatible with TECH-AIR®5 airbag vests. Reflective elements on the forearms and back improve visibility in low-light conditions.

Comfort in rain or shine

The foundation of the jacket is a multi-panel polyester outer shell, which houses a fixed Drystar® climate membrane. This is 100% waterproof and breathable, protecting you from the rain while wicking sweat away from the body. The membrane is stretchy in the sleeve area, increasing comfort during movement. For cold days, a removable long-sleeved thermal liner is included. The liner has different weights – 120g/m³ on the chest and 80g/m³ on the sleeves. In warmer weather, you will appreciate the DVS (Direct Ventilation System) with zips on the chest, sleeves, forearms, and shoulder blades.

Ergonomic fit and practical details

The jacket has a sports touring cut with an extended back section to better cover your back in the riding position. The pre-curved sleeves match the position of your hands on the handlebars. You can easily adjust the width of the waist and forearms using the hook-and-loop straps and snap fasteners. The sleeve cuffs are also adjustable with snap fasteners. The raised comfort collar with its hook-and-loop fastening is lined with breathable mesh. Practical features include two external front pockets, a waterproof storm flap over the main zip, and a waist connection zip for joining the jacket to Alpinestars trousers.
