Construction and safety features of the S-M5 helmet

The helmet's shell is made from an advanced thermoplastic that is both impact-resistant and lightweight. The inner core consists of EPS polystyrene with five different densities, which enables effective energy absorption in different parts of the head. The lower rim of the helmet features a softer EPS compound that helps protect the collarbone on impact. The helmet meets ECE 22.06 homologation, achieving 44% better results in direct impact tests than the standard requires. A redesigned chin bar profile increases the strength of this area.

Effective ventilation system and aerodynamics

For thermal comfort while riding, the helmet is equipped with a ventilation system. Inlet ports draw in fresh air, which flows through internal channels to cool the head, while outlet ports expel warm, humid air. The perforations in the peak area also contribute to airflow, directing air straight into the ventilation panels. The peak is attached via a patented mechanism that allows for its quick release in the event of a fall, thereby reducing the risk of injury caused by it catching on something.

Comfortable interior and practical details

The inner padding is removable and washable, which makes maintenance easy. The Silverplus® treated fabric uses silver ions to prevent the growth of bacteria and the formation of odours. For emergencies, the helmet is equipped with an ERS system that lets rescuers easily remove the cheek pads. Fastening via double D-rings made of stainless steel serves to securely fasten the helmet.
