The Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Essential uses two full-range drivers and one large passive radiator to reproduce sound in a compact design. The rated power reaches 5W and the system is designed with enhanced bass. The large passive radiator supports the reproduction of low frequencies, and the manufacturer also states that it delivers clear and natural vocals. The rounded design is covered with a fine textile mesh, complemented by a glossy decorative strip. The speaker measures 9.8×4.6×13cm and weighs approximately 200g.

The built-in 1000mAh battery provides up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge. Charging is done via the USB-C connector. The IP66 rating ensures resistance to dust and water, and it can also handle light rain. Stability during outdoor use is supported by a non-slip rubber base, and the side connector is protected by a waterproof cap.
