Thanks to its connection to the X-Sense Home Security mobile app, you can also receive alerts directly to your phone, view alarm history, and get a better overview of your home's safety even when you're not there. The main advantage of the X-Sense XC0C-iR gas detector is its ability to connect to the X-Sense Home Security mobile app. This allows you to monitor the detector's status directly on your phone and receive notifications even when you're not at home. The app can inform you about a CO alarm, low battery, device malfunction, or an increased concentration of carbon monoxide. The detector operates on two alert levels. If the CO level is dangerously high but has not lasted long enough to trigger a full alarm, the app can send a pre-emptive CO warning. If the elevated concentration persists, the notification will change to a full alarm, triggering the detector's siren and sending another notification to your phone.
Easy connection in minutes
You can get the X-Sense Wi-Fi CO detector up and running in a matter of minutes. Simply download the X-Sense Home Security app for Android or iOS, create a user account, and connect your phone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. During pairing, put the detector into connection mode using the Test/Silence button, then enter your Wi-Fi password and the device will connect to the app. The XC0C-iR model connects directly to your home Wi-Fi network and is not compatible with the SBS50 base station. If your internet or Wi-Fi goes down, the detector will continue to function as a standalone CO alarm and will sound a local acoustic alarm if a dangerous concentration of carbon monoxide is detected. However, mobile notifications are only available with an active internet connection.
