This is the World War 1 Centennial Edition, the latest enhanced edition of the original game, which covers the entire period of the Great War from 1914 to 1918. Compared to its predecessor, it boasts a number of improvements. One of these is the refined graphics, which bring a new look with more faithful rendering of elevation and trees. All portraits of leaders and all units have been completely reworked into colour versions based on historical images. You can also look forward to an added 1917 scenario covering all battlefields, more accurate overviews of all combat units, and a new intro.

The game is based on alternating between two phases, during which you give orders to your units, which they then execute simultaneously with the enemy in an original 3-mode turn-based system.
