Charging and operating parameters
Adhering to the correct charging voltage is crucial for the battery's optimal lifespan. For cyclic use, a voltage between 14.5–14.9V is recommended, while 13.6–13.8V is sufficient for standby mode. The maximum initial charging current should not exceed 5.1A, which helps protect the cells. The internal resistance of a fully charged battery at a temperature of 25°C is 13mΩ.
Capacity and self-discharge
The ambient temperature affects the battery's available capacity. At 40°C, it provides up to 102% of its nominal capacity, while at 0°C this value drops to 85%, and at -15°C to 62%. Another parameter is self-discharge during storage. At a temperature of 25°C, the battery retains 91% of its capacity after three months, 82% after six months, and 64% after nine months.
