A Wide-Angle Lens for Creative Shots
The 15mm wide-angle focal length offers an 84.9° angle of view, making it easy to capture expansive landscapes, architecture and spacious interiors. On APS-C sensor cameras, this corresponds to a 22.5mm focal length on a full-frame camera, making it a great choice for travel, street photography and videography. The wide angle allows you to fit more into the frame and give your photos an impressive perspective.
Fast Aperture for Photography in Any Light
The large F1.7 aperture allows the VILTROX 15mm f/1.7 Air lens to take clear and detailed pictures even when shooting in low-light conditions, such as indoors, at dusk, or on city streets at night. The wide-open aperture also creates a softly blurred background that makes your subject stand out and gives portraits and close-ups an impressive and professional look.
Fast and Accurate Autofocus
The reliable focusing of the VILTROX 15mm f/1.7 Air lens is handled by a quiet STM stepping motor that enables fast and accurate autofocus. This makes it easy to capture children at play, pets, and unique moments on the city streets. Eye and face detection support helps keep your subject perfectly sharp, while smooth refocusing is great for shooting videos and creating professional-looking footage.
Compact Dimensions of the VILTROX Lens
Its compact size and low weight make the VILTROX 15mm f/1.7 Air an ideal choice for travel and everyday photography. It fits easily into a camera bag or backpack, so you can always have it on hand. Although it is one of the lightweight Air series lenses, it offers high image quality without compromise and is ready to capture every important moment.
Advanced Optical Construction for Sharp Images
The excellent imaging performance of the VILTROX 15mm f/1.7 Air lens is thanks to a sophisticated optical system using 3 ED elements, 3 high refractive index (HR) elements and 2 aspherical elements. This combination effectively reduces chromatic aberration and distortion and ensures high sharpness across the entire image area. In addition, multi-layer anti-reflective coatings suppress flare and unwanted reflections, so photos are distinguished by a clean image, high contrast and faithful colour reproduction, even when shooting in challenging light conditions.
Practical Design for Comfortable Use
Every detail of the VILTROX 15mm f/1.7 Air lens is designed for comfortable everyday use. It features a 58mm filter thread, a durable metal bayonet mount, and a USB-C port for easy firmware updates. The front optical element is coated with a protective layer that repels water and dirt, while the lens hood helps to reduce unwanted reflections. The lens also supports the transfer of EXIF information to the camera, so that data about the captured images is automatically saved in their metadata.
